Help Impact awarded a grant to the UK-based charity St Gregory’s Foundation on a project to supply equipment for therapy rooms for disabled children Chisinau, Moldova. St Gregory’s Foundation works with a partner Copiii Ploii in Moldova which performs this programme.

For many years children with autism in Moldova were not diagnosed correctly and missed the window of opportunity for early detection and intervention because of the lack of adequate institutions, insufficient finances or neglect of parents. Families were not able to meet medical, physical, and psychological needs of their children.
Copiii Ploii provides therapy for disabled children between two and nine years old. The children – diagnosed with such disabilities and disorders as Infantil autism, Rett syndrome, Down syndrome, Asperger’s syndrome and ADHD – come from Chisinau and the surrounding area such as Anneni Noi, Yaloven, Gidigich.
Copiii Ploii recently had a refurbishment and has four new rooms for therapy which are currently unequipped. Help Impact’s funds will be used to buy equipment so that the therapists can run their sessions in these rooms.
